Block-berry by Sweetfire Road for Moda Blockheads 4

It’s here!  Woo-Hoo! My very first block as a Moda Blockhead!  Hurray!

Presenting my Moda “Block-berry!” Picking berries is one of my all-time favorite summer activities.  So, I had to make my block a little sweet and a little bit fruity to celebrate the beginning of summer.
I was so enthused at this project that I decided to actually quilt up my sample as a wall hanging for my office to celebrate becoming a Blockhead…but I plan to make multiples more!  Both for my Blockheads quilt, and for a fun summer table runner!
I hope you all enjoy sewing up this block as much as I have been enjoying being a part of this dynamic, creative group of wonderful quilters!
What are your favorite summertime activities?
Happy Quilting and have a great day!!!
Here is the link to the pattern, friends:
Sample shown is in my new collection for Moda, “Wild Meadow” shipping this September to your LQS.

The fabrics you are using are simply beautiful. I am enjoying “meeting” new designers on the Blockheads journey and reading blogs along the way.

Love the berry block, Jackie! I love working in the garden, tending the plants, and watching them grow…….probably my favorite summer activity. I prefer eating the berries over picking them though! : )

You and I would get along quite well, Patty! I love working in the garden…but take me to a berry farm and I’ll eat 3/4 of what I pick! lol… It’s so much fun, too!

I just love your block design! I live in California near Napa wine country…this reminds me of ‘hanging grapes’ perfect for a table runner with a glass of wine. Thanks for the inspiration!

Oh, Barbara! I just love that idea of making it into grapes! And what a gorgeous part of the world you live in! If you think about it, please share your make with me… I’d love to see how it turns out.

My dogs are always by my side when I am in the quilt room- sometimes right under me, on both sides of my chair….wouldn’t have it any other way. Your fabric is just beatiful.
