When I attended quilt market this past fall, I fell head over heels for this beautiful holiday panel that Vanessa with Lella Boutique had quilted. It featured Chenille It and I was obsessed with the texture and the result. I thought I would try it out on a little Valentine's project and I was really tickled with the result. I used the 5/8" version in Natural. As this was filled with fiber fill fluff, I couldn't risk washing it in the washing machine as the fill would clump up... but no worries... the Chenille It performed beautifully with a dry/stiff tooth brush a a little spritzing of water. Isn't it fun? The pattern was drafted by me... It's just a mini charm pack sewn up with chenille strips sewn on... and then I cut it into a heart shape with a handmade template (I just used cardboard to cut out my template). I added a backing, fiber fill, and a loop for hanging and "wah-la!" My own Valentine's heart for my front door. This was a fun make and I can't wait to try other sizes and colors of chenille it for my future projects! Happy Quilting!
