MY STORY

I'm Jackie MacDonald.  I'm a surface pattern designer and artist.  I'm also delighted to be a fabric designer for Moda Fabrics + Supplies under my brand, Sweetfire Road. My style is illustrative, romantic, pretty and warm.  I'm inspired by vintage flea market finds, soft, moody color palettes and sentimental stories.  My hope is to evoke a special memory, a feeling of wonder, or nurture your heart with my work.  

  

My family and I live in coastal Maine with my husband, Neil, and our sweet little boy, Sammy.  We have two rescue dogs, Tiga Marie & Quiddy, and a cat named Cat. 

 

My Maker Story - I took up quilting the moment I became a designer for Moda!  I love it and am looking forward to exploring more projects with you all as I broaden my understanding of this wonderful craft.
